10lb STEEL MACE

193_edited.jpg

When I first started working out with the Onnit steel mace, I went with the largest one available at the time which was 20lb (they now have a 25lb one). While I was able to do some awesome workouts with it, I felt limited in many movements so went ahead and ordered a 10lb steel mace to have a variety of weights. From the moment I took the 10lb steel mace out of the package I was obsessed with it. Unlike the 20lb steel mace with the 10lb I’m able to go into a “exercise flow” where I flow from exercise to the other. As I've said before, I would recommend going lighter vs heavier.

NORDIC NAUTRALS OMEGA 3

There are so many benefits of fish oil it's crazy not to supplement daily with a few capsules. The problem is the “quality” of fish oil is very important and often overlooked. I personally like Nordic Naturals fish oil for it’s in it’s a "triclydrie form". If you really wanted to geek out and learn all about fish oil quality check out this article. Grab some for around $30 on Amazon.

COACHES EYE APP

If you are into weight lifting or sports this app is a must. With the Coaches Eye app, you can video tape and analyze sports movements with lines, shapes, arrows, etc. I use this app everyday when coaching people on squating technique or swimming.

THE RUSSIAN KETTLEBELL CHALLENGE BOOK

Another good read by the guy who brought kettlebells to America, Pavel Tsatsouline. The Russian Kettlebell Challenge: Xtreme Fitness for Hard Living Comrades explains the history, benefits, and how to workout with kettlebells. I got this book on kindle and was so intrigued I finish it in one day. Highly recommended for into kettlebell training.
