Qalo rings
If you're married and lift weights or do any type of work that requires some form a grip strength, Qalo rings are the way to go. When I started the kettlebell swing challenge a few weeks ago I would have to take my wedding ring off to get a grip on the handle. This left me as an open target for single girls (which can be a problem when you're the only guy with legs, lol) in the gym. The ring itself is made from a rubber type material but that by no means makes it feel cheap. For less than $20 I highly recommend picking one up at Qalo.com or on Amazon.
Reebok All terrains

WIth my new found love of obstacle racing, I picked up a pair of these a few weeks back and they have quickly become my favorite trail running shoe.
They are super light, drain water instantly, have lots of grip, and just work. Given the fact they are specifically desgined for obstacle racing, it's no surprise they work so well in wet/muddy conditions. The best part of all is you can rinse them off with ease. I was fortunate enough to find a deal on both the "Sprint" and "Super" models of these shoes. The Sprints are a bit narrower than the Supers, making them a little less staple. Although I like both, I would recommend the supers over the sprints.

Lacrosse Ball
In addition to a foam roller this is a must for mobility. Smash your hamstrings or back onto this after a hard workout and you can almost instantly feel your range-of-motion increasing (granted it's a little painful). I've said it before and I will said it again, grab a foam roller, a lacrosse ball, and a copy of Becoming A Supple Leopard to heal your body! I grabbed one at my local sporting goods store, but my favorite website fitness website Onnit has recently created their own mobility ball for only $5.
Intervention
As someone who gets people fit for a living, I take continuing education very seriously. For this reason I read at least 1 book a week pretaining to health or fitness. A few weeks back I picked up another Dan John book specifally for coaches called "Intervention". I read through this entire book in less than 48 hours, then went through it again to write down some notes. This book is hands down the best book I have read when it becomes to weight training and athletes. Additionally his section on teaching the squat is simply amazing. If you have any interested in classic weight training for athletes, I would highly recommend this read. But then again I would recommend anything written my Dan John.
